Code of Conduct

MEMBERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR STAYING UP TO DATE ON THE RULES OF THIS COMMUNITY. RULES ARE ENFORCED AND MEMBERSHIP STATUS MAY BE REVOKED AT ANY TIME FOR FAILING TO COMPLY.

MEMBERS MUST BE COURTEOUS AND RESPECTFUL of all members including Administrators and Moderators. RUDE COMMENTS, COMMENTING OR OFFERING A DIFFERENT PRICE, TRYING TO SELL YOUR OWN ITEM IN THE COMMENTS OF ANOTHERS POST, TRYING TO “JUMP IN LINE’ OFFERING MORE OR SAYING YOU WILL PICK UP SOONER. ARGUING, CURSING, NAME CALLING, AND RUDE COMMENTS EITHER ON THE POST OR BY PRIVATE MESSAGE, WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AND MAY CAUSE YOU TO BE BANNED. ISSUES or COMPLAINTS are to be private messaged (PM) to an Admin only.

ABSOLUTELY NO PERSONAL INFO is to be listed on the post or in the comments. NO PHONE NUMBERS, EMAIL ADDRESSES, OUTSIDE LINKS, # HASH TAGS AND MEETING ARRANGEMENTS etc., are to be shared only in a private message.

ALL MEMBERS MUST BE OVER 18, use their real first and last name and maintain a current identifiable picture of themselves on their account. Anyone under 18 or using a false identity will have their account immediately revoked. All identities are verified before an account is activated.

ENGLISH must be used for all comments and posts. Other languages may be used as long as the English translation is posted with it.

SHOW UP FOR YOUR MEETS ON TIME WITH EXACT CASH FOR YOUR PURCHASES! Please report to an Admin if the member you had agreed to meet did not show up! This is unacceptable and an automatic strike. All reports are confidential.

THREE STRIKES AND YOU'RE OUT: Typically, each member is allowed three strikes before an account is revoked however, Admins reserve the right to suspend or revoke members at any time to maintain the welfare of the group. Allowing a banned member to use your account is grounds for your account to be revoked.

PROHIBITED ITEMS:
• ABSOLUTELY NO WEAPONS! AMMO, GUNS, KNIVES, ARCHERY etc. including parts.

• ITEMS THAT REQUIRE ID or are ILLEGAL may not be posted.

• Fake, look a like, counterfeit items

• NO PETS OR ANIMALS: NOTHING ALIVE AND BREATHING

ALL ITEMS MUST HAVE A TRUE ASKING PRICE in the price field- No “make offers” allowed. The price entered in the price field must be the actual price for all the items in the picture(s). We are not an Auction site and discussion of price may only be done by PM. Original price can always be lowered but may not be raised. Items cannot be deleted and reposted at a higher price.

ONE ITEM – ONE POST – ONE PRICE! Please only post one item or "lot" per post. The price field must match everything pictured and described. A picture of the actual item you're selling in its current condition is required in the first frame. Extra frames may not be used to sell different items.

NO DUPLICATE POSTS. Each item may only be posted once. Please choose the category you feel fits best. You can always edit the category to a different one if that one isn’t working for you.

RESPOND TO ALL COMMENTS AND MESSAGES WITHIN 24 HOURS. Likewise allow 24 hours for a response. If the buyer does not reply in 24 hours, they lose their place and you're free to move to the next Interested Bar.

ORDER OF INTEREST is to be followed. ONLY INTERESTED BARS in the comments of the item post hold your place in line. NO “first come first served.” or selling to the highest offer.

CAR SEAT posts must include a PICTURE OF THE EXPIRATION DATE OR MANUFACTURED DATE and be less than 5 years old please.

BUY AND SELL AT YOUR OWN RISK. Buyers are responsible for checking the merchandise BEFORE giving the Seller any money. ALL SALES ARE FINAL!

MEET IN THE BRENHAM AREA- Any safe, mutually agreeable location is fine. Meets may be made outside the area if both parties agree. **PORCH PICK UP ONLY is not allowed. * Heavy or bulky items are exceptions.

KEEP POSTS UP TO DATE. RESERVE your item for your buyer and use the SOLD function. Please do not delete. The system will delete it after 7 days. Please keep your page current and remove posts if sold elsewhere or the event is over.

NO SPAMMING! UNSOLICITED messages to sell or advertise are SPAM and the account will be immediately revoked.

SMALL or HOME-BASED BUSINESS - Handmade or Custom Orders ~ One Ad PER BUSINESS may be posted in the Small Business category for up to 3 different companies. Ads may be deleted and reposted with updates periodically.

• HANDCRAFTED ITEMS: Items PERSONALLY made by you are to be posted in the HANDMADE category. Posts for TAKING ORDERS OR CUSTOMIZING are only allowed in the SMALL BUSINESS DIRECTORY. You can have one post per business, up to 3 different businesses.

• GARAGE SALES ~ Please create ONE post in the MORE / Events & Community / Garage Sale category. Items in the sale should NOT be posted separately. Please delete your post once it’s over.

• ISO – IN SEARCH OF~ Choose a picture representing what you are looking for and create a post in the appropriate category. Internet pics are ok here.
