Russian Olive wood makes for a beautiful base material for the crafting of jewelry boxes, cabinets, picture frames, furniture and more featuring high contrast and unique coloring. The wood also exhibits wide zebra stripes from its annual rings, a bright yellow sapwood and cambium sections, knurls and burls with attractive contours which are perfect for standout inlays.

We have two trees that have been growing on the edge of our property for about 35 years and have become quite large. Occasionally they need to be trimmed as some branches become too heavy and begin to sag. The present logs come from some recent trimmings (both live and dead) and have been slowly dried over the autumn to slow the checking process. Logs range from a few inches to up to 13 inches in diameter and up to 6 feet long.
