Unique stoneware humidor or tobacco jar made by the famous Marzi & Remy Company in Germany. Features a dimensional design around the humidor on a cream background with gold, navy blue, teal, & red accents. Highlights in both French & Flemish languages, the nine Belgian provinces with the Coat of Arms for each province (Antwerp, Brabant, Limburg, Hainaut, Luxembourg, Liege, Namur, West Flanders, & East Flanders). Decorative borders on the canister lid & above & below the Coat of Arms are a winged dragon design embossed in gold gilt.

Purchased in Belgium in the late 1960s. Impressed on the bottom with Marzi & Remi “Shield" mark (used from 1964 onward) & 2918. 

Measures 9.5”H x 6.25”Diameter. Excellent like new condition.
