Vintage Ribbed Panel Martini Pitcher/Water Jug by Jeannette Glass - Circa 1940s/1950s
$15
Excellent Pre-Owned Condition. Pickup in Olathe. No Holds.
I collect pitchers and am downsizing my collection. This cutie is one from my “smalls” collection and was made by Jeannette Glass. It features a heavy vertical ribbed pattern all around with a very cool art deco-inspired thick square handle, a 36-point star on the bottom, and ice catch lip. Crafted from thick pressed glass, it’s in pristine condition and quite hefty; weight 2.2 lbs. Measures 6¼” x 4¼” H/D; capacity 32 oz.; glass color is clear. Its style and pattern is on-trend with today’s mod look and will look fabulous on any counter or bar top.

Quick Bio on Jeannette Glass
Jeannette Bottle Works Company was established in 1887, in Jeannette, Pennsylvania. In 1898 the Jeannette Bottle Works company was succeeded by the Jeannette Glass Co. and got its start producing handmade bottles. With the advent of the O’Neill semi-automatic bottle blowing machine in 1899, Jeannette soon found itself producing wide mouth jars, relishes and other useful pressed glass items like automobile headlamp lenses. By 1924 they began producing lovely table and kitchenware. This innovative company was one of the forerunners in producing the machine made, colored pressed glassware that we collect today. Jeannette continued to produce glassware for both wholesale and retail businesses until 1983, when they closed their doors.
