CODE OF CONDUCT
Respect, honesty, & common courtesy are the most important aspects for membership in our group. In return, we will show you some AWESOME DEALS & give you the opportunity to make some extra CASH! Show up to your meeting on time, cash in hand. Notify the person ahead of time if you have to cancel. Communicate clearly. Simply put -- treat others the way you want to be treated.
All members of this group must abide by all the Group Rules set forth here.

Arguing, debating, profanity, or other unacceptable behavior toward other members or the Admin team will not be tolerated and your membership will be revoked.

If you do not live in Parker we will only add you if you have a connection to Parker & are willing to bring items you sell to Parker AND pickup in Parker WITHOUT COMPLAINT! By joining you agree to comply with this or your account will be revoked!

Must be 21 years old to join. This is a community for adult women and men, not teenagers.

You must have a photo of your face for your profile photo. The allows people to know who they are meeting or inviting to their home.

Admin reserves the right to edit or change group rules as needed without notice. NOTE: If you are a member of other VarageSale groups, please be aware of the Group Rules specific to those communities.

No links or promotion of similar platforms such as eBay, Craigslist, Facebook groups, etc.

HOW TO POST
For best results, please take clear photos of clean items with a plain & clean background. You can rotate after you upload. You can also add 4 additional views of the item.
If you are posting something that you are in search of, post a stock photo of the item. After the photo has uploaded and before you submit it, check the box "LOOKING FOR" (blue flag). Once you have found the item, change the status flag to "FOUND IT" (red).
"SOLD" or "FOUND" items will automatically delete in about 7 days. No need to delete sold items yourself.

EACH PHOTO SHOULD INCLUDE:
Identifying 'Title' (short/simple = better search results).
Accurate/truthful details in the ‘Description’ area (condition, brand, color, material, age, etc.)
Price (clear pricing = better possibility of a sale)
Placement within the appropriate category (only one category per item)

SELLERS:
Be truthful about all details in your postings.
Please check your notifications & messages often and maintain the item's status flag in a timely manner -- Available (green), Pending (yellow), or Sold (red) This avoids customer frustration.
The item for sale belongs to you, but please follow the order of interest whenever possible.
Please allow 12 hours before moving to the next person in line*
*If an item is “First come, first serve,” you must state that clearly to avoid confusion.
You must encourage & allow the buyers to inspect their items appropriately before purchase.

BUYERS:
Click the "Message Seller" button with your intent to purchase and to arrange a pickup at the same time. Save back and forth messaging! You will then be first in line and the transaction will be smooth.
Check your group notifications & messages often. Sellers are asked to hold items for 12 hours, after that they can move to the next buyer in line.
Do not have a seller hold an item, schedule a pickup and then the day of the pickup decide to pass. That will be counted as a strike.
Do not expect a Seller to hold an item for an unreasonable amount of time (More than a few days is unreasonable!)
Make Offers for a lower amount via Private Messaging ONLY.
Inspect all items at the point of sale. If the item does not meet expectations, you have every right to change your mind. Do not alter the price agreed upon unless the inspection warrants it.
Bring exact cash, No large bags of coins.. take those to the bank! NO CHECKS!
(This seems obvious but if you forget your cash, DO NOT TAKE THE ITEMS!!) In Parker you are never more than a few miles from a bank/grocery store/ATM. BRING CASH!

IMPORTANT:
Buyers & Sellers should never post personal info or meeting info in the public/comment section. When making arrangements to meet for inspection & purchase of items for sale, THINK SAFETY! Meet in a public location in a safe manner.
Please remember that LIFE HAPPENS! Children get sick, cars break down, etc. Give a person the benefit of the doubt if they don't show up for a meeting the first time. If you feel that they are not reliable, report no-show to admin, block them and don't do business with them in the future.
Admin is not responsible for member transactions or behavior, etc. in any way and cannot obtain a refund for you. {This is simply a group run by volunteers who do not profit from it}. Please report negative experiences privately to Admin and include screen shots. Repeated or serious offenses will result in removal from the group immedately. For no-shows for buyers and sellers it's 3 Strikes and you are out! No warnings.
Buy & sell at your own risk.

LOCAL SMALL & HOME-BASED BUSINESSES:
Local Parker residents that are active in this group are permitted to post in the Local Small Business Directory in order to support our community. ONE ad per business. Change your ad as needed. Any other info, promotions, recruitment, etc. may be posted in the comment section of your ad, not in additional posts. — You may post a link to your business’s Facebook Page or website with your ad only.
ONLY active members of the community may post their business on our VS page. Any ads or business links in the regular categories will be removed without notice.

HOMEMADE ITEMS:
May be posted by anyone within the local area. Business links and/or ads may not be included with these postings. You may include, "Please contact me or see my small business directory ad in your description

*Please note that unless it is serious, the admins DO NOT get involved in member disputes. We are all adults, work it out amongst yourselves.
* Troublemakers & Rule Breakers will be removed and banned at Admins discretion regardless of the number of strikes. Banning/Blocking of Admin on Facebook is not allowed.
