This smiling clown planter is heavy weight and will not topple if holding a small plant. It was originally painted with cold paint (meaning it was painted after being fired and glazed) and easily chipped off. It doesn't look like it has ever been used as a planter. It measures 5-1/2 " to the tip of his hat and 5-1/4" wide. The only damage I see is that the glaze is worn off the tip of the clown's nose, as seen in the last photo.
