Meet-ups happen in Spring Hill. This group is for residents of Spring Hill and surrounding areas. If you have been approved and do not live in this area, please be prepared to meet in Spring Hill. Cash only, local pickup. No shipping!!
**If it is a problem for you to meet in Spring Hill, there are other VarageSale groups in the greater-Nashville area that may be better suited for you (Nashville, Franklin, etc).
Follow the queue. If you are interested in an item, please comment on the item directly. Do not private message the seller without first commenting on the item. Sellers are expected to follow the queue of comments. The only exception to this rule is if the seller posts "First to make arrangements gets the item" or something along those lines. In that case, the queue rule does not apply.
Tagging. Tagging another person on an item does NOT put that person in line.
Check-in frequently. Please check in daily to be fair to buyers/sellers you are working with. Sellers, please allow reasonable response time of 12 hours unless you state otherwise in the original post. A seller may choose to wait longer than 12 hours, that is up to seller's discretion. Once the 12 minimum has passed, if no response from the first person in line, the queue should be followed and seller may move onto the next person.
Communication. After commenting on an item, please do future communication via the private messaging feature VarageSale offers.
No shows. As a courtesy for everyone's time and gas, please show for all arranged pick-ups. If something comes up and you are unable to meet, communicate with the other party before the time of meeting. If you are reported twice as a no-show, you will be suspended for 3 days. After the 3rd report, you will be suspended permanently.
Posting. Please post one picture of your item in the appropriate category. If additional pictures are needed, you can attach those in the comment section below the original post. Violations of this rule can and will be deleted without notice.
Prohibited Items. Guns, alcohol, tobacco, vaping items, knives, prescription drugs, pets, recalled items, and counterfeit items are not allowed on this site. Posting any of these items can result in automatic suspension from this community.
*Recalled items may be allowed if necessary adjustments have been made to the item so that it now falls within safety guidelines.
Small and home-based businesses. Please post one picture advertising your business in the appropriate category. Do not post items for sale in the sale categories if you expect money up front for services, custom items, home-based businesses, or items that you plan to charge tax for.
Hijacking posts. Do not hijack someone's post. If you have the same item for sale or are looking for the same item, create your own listing.
Car seats. Car seats are allowed on the site, as long as they are not expired, have never been involved in a car accident, have never been dropped, and the straps have never been washed. If a seat does not meet all requirements, it is not allowed. You are required to post either the manufacturer's date or expiration date when listing a car seat. Buyers: please exercise caution and carefully inspect car seats before purchasing.
A deal is a deal. Once an arrangement has been made or offer accepted, the deal stands. Sellers, do not back out for a higher offer. Buyers, do not wait until meet-up and offer less.
All sales are final. It is the seller's responsibility to accurately describe all items listed. It is the buyer's responsibility to careful inspect all items before handing over money. After the exchange, all sales are final unless the seller agrees to refund. This is up to the seller's discretion. Buyers, do not feel obligated to purchase an item that does not meet your standards or is not as described in the listing.
Admins. We are not responsible for any transactions on this site, but we are more than happy to help if you have questions or concerns. We can and will ban any members we feel have acted in a manner that does not fit with our goal of creating a drama-free community for buying and selling. This may include but is not limited to being rude, habitually breaking rules, creating drama, being dishonest, etc.
Porch pick-ups. Please understand that we have no way to screen everyone on this site. We base admittance on geographical location only. Porch pick-ups are fine, but please understand that this done at your own risk.
Making an offer. Please comment "sending PM" and then send your offer via private message to the seller.
