10 Austrian Princess Louise Salt Cellars - PRICE REDUCED BY $20 - BEST OFFER

These antique salt cellars, with the pattern name “Princess Louise” were made in Austria by Porzellanfabrik Wehinger & Co. The mark, as seen on the back, places their production between 1910 to 1918. Each dish is made of white porcelain lusterware on 3 round feet, the well accented in gold (which other descriptions of Princess Louise pieces have stated to be 24 carat gold).

I believe their condition is very good. There is minor wear on some edges and light scratching on the gold bottoms. There are also some manufacturing pits in some of the gold bottoms and some pin-sized dark spots in the glaze. One cellar has some light damage to its rim but these marks of use are certainly to be expected with items over 100 years old. I have tried to mention imperfections, whether through use or through manufacture, but unless you are looking closely, none of these imperfections “stand out”.

If not used for salt, these dishes would look very pretty at a table place setting with a single flower blossom.
