EPIAG (Erste Böhemische Porzellan Industrie AG) - First Bohemian Porcelain Industry - is an acronym for an association of different potteries put together by the Austrian Government in 1918 to promote the sale of Bohemian pottery and porcelain. Each company in the group had its own variation of the “EPIAG” mark, therefore, in order to know which company produced a piece, one needed to see the backstamp. The backstamp on this plate dates it between 1920 – 1945 and the manufacturer was Springer Co. The plate measures 7-3/4" in diameter and is in excellent condition.
