Medium action spincasting rod. Great rod for beginners wanting to learn how to fish with relative ease. Great all around rod trout, pike, grayling, and whitefish can be caught with this rod. Comes spooled with 15lb braided line user will have to learn how to tie a mono or flourocarbon leader on to the braided line. Lots of YouTube videos on this. I use a double uni knot and haven't had any issues on any of my other set ups.
