Russian Legends

Russian Folk Legends Collectable 12 plate set. Distributed for Tianex by the Bradford Exchange from 1988 to 1990. These plates are patterned after the designs and style found from the village of Palekh. The artists of Palekh are world renown for their unbelievable colorful art, fine line drawing and saturated with gold. The plates were made with 16-17 layers of ceramic pigments and in 18k gold on hard fired porcelain. Each plate depicts a Russian legend or fairytale.

All plates come with Certificates of Authenticity, original boxes, and a folder in Russian and a folder in English telling the legend or fairytale.
